In 2007 Ubichem acquired the Isotopic Synthesis Group from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The Ubichem Isotope Synthesis Group (UISG) is located in three laboratories within the same Chemical Research Centre as the Ubichem Research R&D facilities and will include an additional new analytical lab dedicated to this unit. The group has long experience in the field, and has published numerous papers and patents.

The group is able to handle the synthesis of radioactive ¹⁴C and ³H and stable non-radioactive compounds labelled with ¹³C, ²H, ¹⁸O and ¹⁵N. Starting materials are commercially available labelled compounds.

We are pleased to be able to include this capability in the range of services we are able to offer to clients in the pharmaceutical field. The UISG will provide services for the development of compounds from drug discovery to launch of API including the synthesis of labelled metabolites and intermediates. We provide a comprehensive QC and analytical package.
